And we had a real need to add these Precincts and to add two Supervisors.
Some Estimates have our population pushing 10,000 to 11,000 people.
We are waiting for the 2010 Census to verify the new the numbers.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 6,421 people, 1,984 households, and 1,732 families residing in the township. The population density was 1,132.3 people per square mile (437.2/km²). There were 2,017 housing units at an average density of 355.7/sq mi (137.3/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 94.44% White, 2.18% African American, 0.03% Native American, 2.41% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.33% from other races, and 0.59% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.93% of the population.
There were 1,984 households out of which 50.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.3% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.7% were non-families. 9.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.16 and the average family size was 3.40.
In the township the population was spread out with 31.5% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 34.7% from 25 to 44, 20.2% from 45 to 64, and 8.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 99.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $84,661, and the median income for a family was $87,248. Males had a median income of $60,496 versus $36,272 for females. The per capita income for the township was $29,349. About 1.0% of families and 2.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 1.4% of those under age 18 and 4.4% of those age 65 or over.
Why Two New Precincts?
These additional precincts will help our residents to have shorter lines at the polls. It will also allow us to add two more GOP Committee People to our team providing you with better access to election information.
2. And we are always looking for Paid Officials to work inside the Polls for the Delaware County Election Board. You are paid for the one days work at the amounts below.

Election Hours: Polls open 7:00AM to 8:00PM. Workers need to be there from 6:30AM to approx. 9:00PM.
